Service de Chirurgie Cardio-vasculaire CHUV, Lausanne Since 2007 • Senior Perfusionist: we are involved in full aspects of perfusion including adult and paediatric ECC, ECMO, ventricular assist devices, isolated limb perfusion and numerous research studies. The Swiss Society of Perfusion Since 2009 • Cashier: I am a voluntary member of the board where I am responsible for managing all cash transactions and accounting. We have monthly meetings where we discuss all matters regarding perfusion in Switzerland. Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Red Cross Children’s Hospital, Cape Town, South Africa 2006-2007 • Perfusionist: I was employed by Red Cross on a full time basis where I did both adult and paediatric procedures. I was also involved in clinical research at the University of Cape Town, and on an on-call rotation at Red Cross and Groote Schuur Hospitals. Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, South Africa 2004-2006 • Student Perfusionist: I was employed at Groote Schuur as a student where I did my two year obligatory practical training in both adult and paediatric perfusion to qualify for my B-Tech Degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion. During these two years I completed a research study titled: “Pump Blood Vs Cell Saved Blood, a comparative study.” |
